Check my wedding quote

Pick vendor type, metro, experience tier. Paste your proposed total. In one click you see whether you're below, inside, or above the cited market range from The Knot 2026, Zola, and WeddingWire. Everything runs in your browser; no signup, no tracking, nothing stored.

Informational only. Not professional pricing advice. Your specific number depends on costs, positioning, and client relationships only you know.

1. Vendor type
2. Your metro

Detected region: Default (rural or mid-metro) (0.75x to 0.85x national multiplier, source: The Knot 2026 Real Weddings Study, national non-metro average)

3. Your experience tier

Consistent bookings, market-rate.

4. Your proposed total (USD)

Enter the total you plan to quote, pre-tax and pre-gratuity. Calibration happens as you type.

When to use check-quote

  • You already drafted a number and want a second opinion before sending it to the couple.
  • A couple pushed back on your price. Show them where your number sits against The Knot 2026 and Zola ranges to have a cited-data conversation instead of a negotiation.
  • You're picking a yearly rate and want to see if it tracks regional market medians.
  • You're a new vendor and want to see whether you're underpricing compared to cited medians for your metro and experience tier.

Frequently asked

How is this different from the wedding calculator?

The calculator builds a quote from scratch, component by component. Check-quote takes a number you already have and tells you where it sits against the cited market range for your vendor type, metro, and experience tier. Use check-quote when you already know the number and want a second opinion; use the calculator when you want to build a quote from zero.

What does 'market' vs 'low' vs 'high' mean exactly?

The market range is the sum of cited public components (from The Knot 2026 Real Weddings Study, Zola, WeddingWire, and category-specific sources) times the regional multiplier for your metro, narrowed by your experience tier. If your proposed total is inside that range, you get 'market'. Below = 'low', above = 'high'. The range is descriptive, not prescriptive.

Can I trust these numbers?

Every component and every regional multiplier on this site cites a public source. The math is deterministic (no AI, no guessing). That said, Rateven is informational, not professional pricing advice. Your actual number depends on your costs, calendar, and client relationships only you know.

Is my quote information stored anywhere?

No. The calibration runs entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server, nothing is logged, nothing is persisted. Close the tab and the data is gone.

What if I'm below the market range but want to stay there?

That's a valid business choice, especially if you're building portfolio in year 1 or 2, serving a specific client segment, or undercutting on price as positioning. Rateven tells you where you sit against the cited market median; it does not tell you what to charge. Your price is your call.

Does this cover markets outside the US?

We currently support 13 US metros plus London (UK) and Berlin (Germany). Other metros fall back to a national-average multiplier. If you want your metro added, email hello@rateven.com with the vendor-cost public source you want us to cite.

Data: The Knot 2026 Real Weddings Study (n=10,474), Zola, WeddingWire, plus category sources (Fearless Photographers, PPA, NACE, SAF, Mobile Beat, American Marriage Ministries). See the full methodology.
